Safety and security is our uppermost priority.

We have staff who are not only very competent teaching assistants but

professionally licensed public control specialists. Namely, Arunas

Andriuskevicius who is a world cage fighting champ! Don’t get the wrong

idea - he is a placid guy and into make-up application ( better mention not on himself ! ) ... and very able to manage any situation - not that we have ever had any.

Pete Sheppard, MD of Fusion Waterside Studio is also a visiting

lecturer for Bedfordshire University and pasted Barnfield College -

Foundation Degree, Specialist Make-up ‘Styling for the Camera

Pete comes from a family background of Film & TV production.

He has been a professional photographer for 25 years working for

some of the largest and most influential companies, magazines and

individuals worldwide. He has had a uniquely varied photographic

career which is why he is so experienced - enabling a far ranging transfer of knowledge and creative ideas to his students, while being professionally qualified. Later he became involved in the modelling and fashion industry with a studio based in Oxford. Pete then had his own studio based in London’s West End for 7 years which he gave up to move to Ivinghoe where he is based today. His studio, along with many acres of private land, is used for assignments and set building - handling commissions from all quarters of the editorial world. Pete has photographed privately / been the official photographer - for people such as The Queen, Tony Blair, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Ronald Regan, and many TV stars - to name just a few. We work with any attending college staff over the period of a course for students to experience every area of assembly, application and strike out of all sets. We make sure that at least one member of our staff is directing and assisting students at every stage. No students are left unattended on location or studio sets where equipment is involved.

Students get involved at every stage under demonstration and assistance. Firstly for this to happen, we have a number of specialised staff. These are organised according to the group size, activity and location. We usually have a balanced male / female staffing and look to have at least one staff to 5 students !

Some of the the kit like generators and some lighting is very heavy so we have assistants to transport and secure. When we are on location, with many lights, cameras and groups

of students - who inherently are mostly

female - it can gain some attention !

Claire Smith is ONE of our hair and make-up specialists. She has worked on many film, theatre and still sets all over the world. Full of enthusiasm and ideas she is well placed to inspire students.  Duane Denny is our chief assistant, working hard to make sure that everything is set up correctly and safely operated.

We have a number of other staff, A London College of Fashion head and tutors we call on to assist when required. We have a pool of models on our books along with HUNDREDS of ex- student contacts who are now in the industry, many eager and able to help us out should we require.

Andy Johnson, a specialist photographer, with a world

reputation and quiet literally hundreds of thousands of

published images.

Lecture assistance from people like Charles Green - one of

the greatest portrait photographers and as far as we know

the only English Master of America. Dave Eades, simply one

of the best Gaffers in the British film industry - steeped in

historical alcalde with experiences that may never be

matched. Worked on many of the greatest film & TV

productions ever !
