Accessed via private road, our studio offers privacy and 24 hr security and a safe environment for students and clients alike.
Studio options are open -
We have a half pipe cove, double door access making room for items such as a car in the studio.
Pull down screens used as backdrops and for image projection for tutorials and seminars.
Various tungsten, continuous and flash lighting with both digital and conventional camera kit in all formats. We have a good number of cameras, accessories and laptops to service large groups.
We also have the facility to set up a large format darkroom if traditional high quality hand printed exhibition results ( or tutorials ) are requested.
A chill out area looking into the studio space with a second secure post production area for both stills and video production all under CCTV inside and out.
A small kitchen has food preparation and tea making facilities.
We are able to set build on land or in out-

We have other enclosed areas which are used for set builds and larger item photography.
Off road parking for cars or trucks.

Wildlife is abundant with many walks and places of interest nearby. We have outbuildings which can be used and dressed to suite.
Most of our courses are undertaken on locations to suite the purpose and look required, so our studio and its grounds are usually only used as a backup or poor weather option when necessary.
Most other photographers and lectures do not usually have these facilities -







Tucked away the other side of Ivinghoe is a new science park. With millions spent

Ashridge forest is just a couple of miles away from our studio. The forest is one
of the oldest, most historic wildlife areas in the ‘ three counties region.’. Designated
as ancient woodland, it lies on the outskirts of Berkhampstead and consists of 4,500
acres of woods, common land, heath and chalk downland -
The picturesque village of Aldbury lies 3 miles east of Tring, at the foot of a Chiltern ridge, and is almost surrounded by the Ashridge estate which is owned by the National Trust. The village green with its pond, stocks and whipping post is the centre of the village. Aldbury is a good base for exploring the area around Tring, which is only two miles from our studio with many walkers and hikers enjoying the village pubs. Tring train station is half a mile away with the renoun Tring Musuem ( part of the Natural History Museum ) situated in the town centre.
Whipsnade Zoo ( part of London Zoo ) is just four miles from us -
great place for a day out taking pictures.
Carpets of English ( not the Spanish imports !! ) blue bells are a great spectacle
in spring with many artists and amateur photographers travelling far and wide to
witness the overpowering haze of blue -

Mentmore is close by where the historic grounds and palatial Neo Renaissance house built for The Rothschild family. Now owed by Simon Halabi, it is now being restored into a luxury hotel with 101 suites.
Mentmore Towers as it is known, has been used for film and photographic sets such
as Eyes wide Shut, The Mummy and The Batman Begins ( known in the film as Wayne Manor

using the many tracks and cycle ways which weave alongside river,
canal and the
dramatic Chiltern Hills. We are surrounded by great
pubs, restaurants and hotels which makes us ideally
located for our studio based and location courses
and tutorials.






Accessed via private road, our location offers
acres of private, secluded land with outbuildings
all monitored via CC TV security and staff always
on site. We have parking for many cars enabling
us to be ideal for outside set building and shoots of larger subjects such as trucks.
We are located next to the Grand Union Canal overlooked by stunning Chiltern Hills
National Trust areas. Set-

We have a fully equipped studio with half pipe cove and production facilities which are kept aside for student use and access. There's also many acres of private land that can be used as seen fit. We have trailers for equipment transportation and commercial vehicles should they be required.
When students are on location we regularly hire halls and centres to construct studio
