We have a fully equiped studio based in Ivinghoe, on the Bed’s / Buck’s border for student us although we usually set a studio up while on location within a designated facility / hall or within a college itsself.

We have a range of  flash and continuous lighting for various high and low key effects. Our aim is for students to become confident working in a studio environment, understanding how artificial lighting affects make up detail, fabric colour and texture, dramatising hair design, wig and hair extension implications and exploring creative ideas to project skills.

With the ongoing progress of high definition film and high resolution still cameras - attention to detail will become very apparent when students see images enlarged on screen.

Take a look at a few images in the gallery above taken by students. We always start with a health & safety, risk assessed briefing and demonstration of equipment to students, then monitoring their progress on set adjusting lighting to their requirement to ease them into good practise. Its always about their work, developing skills of commercial standard. We sometimes tether the cameras and project each image as its taken onto a large screen ( 6ft x 6ft ) so that students can analyse detail and make adjustments.
